What I Have Learned About Nonfiction
I have learned that sometimes less is can be better in writing. That was something I struggled with. I found myself not focusing enough on what I had to say before this class. This lesson can take me far. Now, I pick up on my useless phrases a little quicker while drafting. I learned the power behind getting feedback. I was one for not sharing my drafts or work. I don't picture myself doing that anymore. I loved the feedback that I got in this class and I appreciated the harshest comments the most because they were honest and real. There were many moments that I was reading and giving feedback on my classmates' work and noticed that I do the same thing. Learning how to look at my writing critically and constructive way has done a lot for me as a person and writer. The last, and my favorite lesson would be that drafting is a never-ending process.
